The energy of resilience: Rokada strengthens the energy autonomy of the foundation’s regional teams

With the support of ISAR civil society organisation, Rokada is strengthening the energy autonomy of its 11 regional teams with portable charging stations and inverter generators to maintain access to assistance during power outages and other emergencies.

The equipment will be used by mobile groups operating in frontline, war-affected, and remote communities.

This initiative enables teams to provide uninterrupted social, psychological, legal, and humanitarian assistance, even during power cuts, unstable communications, or crisis operations.

As a result, at least 3,500 people each month are expected to receive vital support without any disruption to services.

“For Rokada, resilience today is not an abstract concept, but the ability to continue working even under difficult and unpredictable conditions. Power supply disruptions, security risks, and damage to infrastructure affect people’s access to assistance, advice, and support. That is why this project is not only about technical reinforcement for us, but also about the continuity of services. Thanks to the support of ISAR Ednannia, as well as the governments of Norway and Sweden, we are strengthening our teams’ capacity to respond quickly to challenges, maintain the operations of both our regional hubs and mobile groups, and remain close to communities even during periods of energy instability,” said Olena Barchuk, project manager.
