In Kharkiv, Rokada explained to internally displaced people how to safely seek help in cases of violence
What risks of gender-based violence war brings, and where to turn if you have experienced it – this is what Rokada GBV specialist Svitlana Tkachenko explained to residents of a shelter in Kharkiv.
“War destroys familiar sources of support: people lose their homes, jobs and social circles, and it is precisely at such moments that the risk of violence increases. Many stay silent because they don’t know where to turn or are afraid that others will find out. That is why it is important that everyone knows help exists, it is confidential, and every request will be answered,” says Svitlana Tkachenko.
The project is implemented by the Rokada Charitable Foundation with the support of Agenzia Italiana per la Cooperazione allo Sviluppo (AICS) in partnership with the Bukovinian Agency for Initiatives and Development (BAID) and Un Ponte Per ETS (UPP).
