Lyceum students in Kharkiv learned about digital violence

Rokada gender-based violence specialist Svitlana Tkachenko told students of a Kharkiv lyceum about digital violence.

Because of the security situation, the session was held online.

Topics included cyberbullying, the psychology of the aggressor and the reasons why victims are often afraid to ask for help.

“We also talked about the illusion of safety online and protecting yourself from online aggressors. It was important to explain to the children how to act in a cyberbullying situation – there are always adults you can turn to, whether anonymously via hotlines or directly to your parents, and together with them to specialists,” notes Svitlana Tkachenko.

The project is implemented by the Rokada Charitable Foundation with the support of Agenzia Italiana per la Cooperazione allo Sviluppo (AICS) in partnership with the Bukovinian Agency for Initiatives and Development (BAID) and Un Ponte Per ETS (UPP).
