Rokada and the Ministry of Social Policy signed a memorandum to strengthen support for those forced to leave their homes

We are strengthening our partnership to support and assist internally displaced Ukrainians, fellow citizens returning from abroad, refugees and people in need of complementary protection and asylum. Rokada and the Ministry of Social Policy, Family and Unity of Ukraine have signed a memorandum.

“For us, the memorandum is more a recognition of the path we have already travelled together than the beginning of a new cooperation. We value the opportunity to work with the Ministry on solutions that make state support more responsive to people’s real needs. This document also confirms our shared commitment to the principles on which a modern European state is built: respect for human dignity, human rights and accountability to society,” stresses Nataliia Hurzhii, Chair of the Foundation’s Board.

“A person who was forced to leave their home because of the war should not be left alone with their problems. That is why we are strengthening cooperation with charitable organisations that have extensive practical experience in supporting people at the community level. We want every person in need to be able to receive the necessary support in time, thanks to better coordination,” said Denys Uliutin, Minister of Social Policy, Family and Unity of Ukraine.

Areas of cooperation include supporting the reintegration of Ukrainians returning from abroad.

The teams will also deepen coordination in social protection and the integration of people in crisis – implementing initiatives, exchanging data, preparing solutions to improve public services, and joining efforts to create and equip shelters for internally displaced Ukrainians and to develop IDP councils.
