Літні люди та дитина під час зустрічі з «Рокадою» щодо доступу до соціальних послуг

Rokada will assess Ukrainians’ actual access to social services

Together with the Office of the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights, Rokada is launching a project aimed at assessing the population’s actual access to social services in territorial communities and, on this basis, developing well-grounded and practical recommendations to improve state social policy.

Specialists will carry out monitoring in four regions of Ukraine where, because of the war and the large number of internally displaced people, the social services system is under increased pressure.

Monitoring visits will cover at least 15 institutions. In particular, we will work with local self-government bodies, social protection bodies, social service providers, administrative service centres and veteran support specialists. The team will also conduct more than 20 expert interviews and consultations, assess the work of guardianship authorities and record the real barriers people face.

As a result, Rokada and the Office of the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights will produce an analytical report with recommendations for solving the most pressing problems.

The results will become the basis for further dialogue between the state and communities and will help make the social services system more accessible and effective.
