Rokada’s team in Sumy region will create one hundred and fifty places for internally displaced Ukrainians
UN Resident Coordinator and Humanitarian Coordinator in Ukraine Matthias Schmale came to Sumy region to see the facilities where Rokada will create more than one hundred and fifty additional places for internally displaced people with the support of the Ukraine Humanitarian Fund / #UkraineHumanitarianFund (#UHF).

The work covers four shelters. Our team will renovate rooms, kitchens and bathrooms there. Each space will be fully adapted in line with accessibility principles.

“For this, we will involve inclusion experts,” notes Project Coordinator Iryna Holliak. “Sumy region is under constant shelling, so we have an acute need for accessible temporary accommodation for people with limited mobility who have lost their homes. We will set up three shelters in the Sumy community and one more in the Romny community.”
