Жителі Сум на зустрічі з «Рокадою» щодо протидії ґендерно зумовленому насильству

Sumy residents learned where to turn in cases of gender-based violence

Readers of a Sumy library learned about gender-based violence through art practices. They were invited to the event by Rokada psychologist Tetiana Matviienko.

“We talked about the types of gender-based violence and discussed the areas of support provided by Rokada and our partners. It is important that as many people as possible learn that they have somewhere to turn in a critical situation. And to release emotional tension, we painted tote bags. This combination makes it possible to raise acute social topics delicately while creating a sense of calm,” the Foundation’s specialist explains.

Tetiana Matviienko reminds that residents who have experienced gender-based violence can receive professional psychological counselling, legal support and explanations of their rights at Rokada’s regional office, as well as information about specialised shelters and partner services.

The project is implemented by the Rokada Charitable Foundation with the support of Agenzia Italiana per la Cooperazione allo Sviluppo (AICS) in partnership with the Bukovinian Agency for Initiatives and Development (BAID) and Un Ponte Per ETS (UPP).
