The Rokada team will create support centres for women
The Rokada team will create socio-economic support centres for women within the Women-Led Community Systems for Recovery and Resilience project.
Three regions are currently being considered for the launch of the initiative.
Women will receive comprehensive support – the centres will combine social, psychological and development services in one safe space.

“Thanks to the project, more than 50,000 women in communities will be able to receive support through a combination of social services and opportunities for economic recovery. Our mission is to move from fragmented services to integrated cooperation – that is, to shift from response to recovery and development. The project also involves developing an evidence-based model of women’s support centres based on needs analysis, systematic monitoring of results and documentation of practical experience. This will make it possible to scale up effective solutions and integrate them into wider social support systems,” notes Project Manager Iryna Korolchuk.
A distinctive feature of the centres will be an approach based on women’s needs – specialists will work with each woman’s specific requests and life situation.
“Specialists will use innovative approaches in their work. First of all, these are individual assistance pathways covering everything from crisis support to economic activity,” adds Iryna Korolchuk, noting that at the centres women will be able to recover and learn together with their children.
The initiative became possible thanks to Rokada’s participation in the open competition Action for Women’s Health. The Foundation’s team was among the 80 winning organisations.
