High-quality career services are born where expertise, partnership, and modern tools combine. It was around this idea that the presentation of an interactive career counselling tool took place at the VONA Hub in Kyiv, with the participation of representatives from the United Nations Population Fund in Ukraine (UNFPA), Rokada, and branches of the Kyiv City Employment Centre.
Career Navigation — is an original creation by Svitlana Kalinina, an expert at the National Hub of the VONA Hub project. It is a strategic board game that models real stages of professional development: from career choice and training to career growth and starting one’s own business.
The Career Navigation game helps to:
– understand the logic of building a career;
– realize the importance of lifelong learning;
– develop professional and soft skills;
– learn to make well-considered career decisions.

That is why developing a partnership with the employment service is an important step toward expanding women’s access to effective career services.”
Career Navigation is one of the tools used in career consulting. Game sets are already available in all VONA hubs, where they will become an integral part of the career advisors’ consulting work.
Branches of the Kyiv City Employment Centre also received the game. There, the methodology will be used for vocational guidance and identifying job seekers’ strengths.
VONA Hub specialists are ready to help employment centres master this tool and, if necessary, join in running the game as moderators.
